Coda Tuition offers Skype guitar lessons to those students who want the benefits of face to face tuition from the comfort of their own home. Resident Cigar Box Guitar expert Sion Littledyke, has over 25 years teaching and 40 years playing experience, and is fully DBS checked. Lessons are also offered using Zoom, Google Meet, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.
Skype lessons are effectively the same as face to face lessons, in that it’s possible to quickly correct posture and technical issues (through observation and demonstration), and that lessons are focused on the requirements of individual students (when compared to pre-recorded, video lessons). Lessons are tailored to suit personal tastes, and cover different styles and ability levels including:
- 3, 4 & 6 string guitar tuition
- Slide and fretted playing
- Fingerstyle and flatpick playing
- Blues & other styles!
- Bass , Banjo, Ukulele, Mandolin & Bouzouki.
Sion has logged 1000+ of hours of online lessons to date, with students located in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Denmark and Brazil.
Scores (Tabs), for songs and exercises are emailed prior to lessons, with audio and video demos regularly shared during lessons to help with practice (students also regularly film short demos on their smartphones).
The Coda Tution studio is equipped with a pro quality audio and video setup, including: Guitar Pro and Sibelius apps for scores; a Cubase Pro recording suite; and a Logitech web cam.

- $40 for 60 minutes
- $30 for 45 minutes
- $20 for 30 minutes
